Extension of Feelings
Writing papers is something that I don't consider a chore, but I do admit that they take a lot out of me. Writing something meaningful and profound means that I have to reach deeper into my mind and create a paper that creates its own world. An obvious clue that a writer is good is when the paper or article that they write draws the reader into a world that they have not yet experienced themselves yet. When an author can do this, then they have done their job; they also reach a new point of excellence when they can cause the reader to imagine a fictional world where the author's story still exists. This is why the Paper 2 is a paper that I look forward to writing, it gives me and and my peers a chance to continue a story that was started, but we get to determine how it can finish. This is a prime example to show society that people are alike, but different. If everyone starts with the same story, but create a different ending, this shows that people can relate to a story if they try. It means that no matter what it was originally, people can put their own spin to stories, but still make their own indent in them. Also, different endings by the author and the readers mean that each person's experience with the story is important and should be heard. When I am able to elaborate a story more, it makes me feel that the author trusts me, the reader, to make the story my own, but keep some of her plot and reason to the story. Writing a different ending allows the reader to feel a more personal feeling with the story and how they can relate to it.

That is a very interesting way of looking at it. I have always looked at creative writing assignments as a chore. I feel more comfortable writing papers that analyze a story opposed to one that I have in which I have to rewrite the ending. When it comes to creative writing I get frustrated because I never know where to begin. Where as in an analyzing paper, I have a better idea of where I want my paper to go and I am better able to express my ideas and thoughts. Maybe your difference in opinion will help me approach my paper from a different point of view and be able to come up with something.
